GBRL History:

With a James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation sustainability grant through the Institute for Sustainable Solutions (ISS) at Portland State University and the generous support of the Oregon Built Environment and Sustainable Technologies (Oregon BEST) Signature Research Center we have created a facility where university researchers from across Oregon and beyond work in close collaboration with industry partners to solve the fundamental and applied research needs of the green building industry. These initial investments in the GBRL back in 2008 have helped us to leverage additional funding including several large grants from the NSF and the US Department of Energy.

Working with the GBRL:

There are 3 easy ways to work with the GBRL and support our activities.

1. You can check out GBRL equipment for short term measurements or small monitoring projects of your own. As needed we can provide training and/or technician support. See the facilities link above and then. contact us.

2. For more involved projects we can collaborate with you to design, conduct, and analyze experiments or field campaigns. Such projects are initiated by contacting us with a proposed scope of work.

3. If you want to provide general support for our efforts you can make a tax deductible donation directly to the PSU Foundation. Click this on-line donation link. Designate your gift for "2804102- GBRL Activities Fund".
